Slaving Away

For the first time in a while we have had a dry weekend, so I managed to get on with stuff on both the Mini and Mazda. I managed to get my hands on the hydraulics for the clutch set-up. This consists of master and slave cylinders along with the pipe and hoses. The slave cylinder was a little rusty so a quick going over with a wire brush on the end of a drill and some matt black and jobs a good-un!

I have had to cut some more from the front of the Mini to give some clearance. I've also found out where to get an adaptor to fit the standard master cylinder. I have removed the top bar that is between the wings, welded some lugs on, and then bolted it back on, This now allows me to be able to remove the exhaust manifold and fit it back on without taking the engine out.

So with some success and everything going well I am now feeling more enthused with the Mini.
